Winter Recap

Now that was the longest Winter of all time!

With children this means a good amount of time indoors building elaborate multi-room forts and snow day's that take us on long excursions by foot ending with hot chocolate. The camera is turned from outdoor weddings and family portraits to sweet day old feet and hands, editorial work and plenty of time gladly photographing my children in the bathtub. I even let my oldest (5 in May) freely work and enjoy one of the cameras. Look for our collaborative photographic coffee table book in upcoming months.

Now that Spring is truly here let me swiftly recap the on-goings at Meredith Coe Photo:

Medium Format Film- I've added this service to my arsenal. I shoot color and B&W. Natural light only. This service is a special feature for my wedding couples as I shoot one roll (15-16exp) during bridal/couple portraits; included in my fee. The option to add film for your entire wedding is definitely available.

Photography Exhibit- Immersed: fear and struggle is on exhibit June 9th-15th during Look3 festival of the photograph. 105 E. Main Street. Artist Reception: June 11th 5:30pm-8:30pm.For more information click here.

Getting Upl- I'm now offering aerial footage with use of drone and gopro camera. If you are interested in this service for your wedding please inquire.

Destination Weddings- I've booked my first destination wedding for this year to take place in Cabo mid November. I'm available from here on out to capture you on a boat, mountain, beach, in a cave or wherever your destination wedding takes you. My travel fee is quite reasonable so don't hesitate to ask!

ART+LIFE- My interview based online publication featuring local Virginia artists is now on hiatus until next Fall. For inquires on being featured please email me at info@meredithcoephoto.com for more information. Thank you to all the artists who opened their studios and personal lives this past year.

The Books- I've handed over book keeping to ArtistZen... if you're a business owner like myself you'll fully understand how elated I am to pass this time consuming task over to someone who cares about it more than I do.

Have a fantastic Summer and as always I look forward to seeing your beautiful faces through my viewfinder very soon!

Big Hug!
Meredith Coe

Winter is also a time to reflect on my work and this means getting down to business. "Where do I need to put more time or money?" is the number one question that immediately comes to mind. For Meredith Coe Photo this really came down to taking on a new format. Medium Format Film. It's been a long time passion and was put away after having children. I'm so thrilled to have this back to my eye. This Winter I also took some time to finish up a conceptual project that will be exhibited this coming June.
