Mark and Marlen were married at The Boars Head Inn along with some major heat, humidity and thunder that warned of rain in the distance. Spirits were high and in fact it only made it that much more exciting to capture the outdoor shots in 10 minutes before the storm hit. The ceremony and reception were held indoors in the lovely Original Ballroom that was so perfectly described by the bride as "a magical fairy garden". They wanted lots of flowers and gold details the rest they left completely, 100%, up to Jazmin from Anyvent (talk about amazing trust and ability to let go!). MS Events took care of designing the vision. This bit of information, the 100% trust they gave to the planner, really speaks volumes of how Mark and Marlen are; ready for anything and able to fully enjoy the moment.
Mark and Marlen are fun, strong and take life quite seriously... in the most amazing way possible. They have endured hardships and good times already on their path and I have no doubt that these two will walk a long road together. I am so honored to have been apart of such a meaningful day.
A poem from the ceremony... it really sums it all up:
"I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep." ~ Pablo Neruda Xvii (I Do Not Love You...)
